A set of two bedside black walnut tables designed for a low bed frame. Each table houses a small dovetailed drawer and a bottom shelf held in place with double live tenons. The design of these minimal spaces was to motivate people to be more mindful of what they keep next to their bed, to aid in making sleep a priority. I wanted a piece that inspires us to begin and end our day thinking of nature, so that we are reminded of her beauty, scent, and touch.
The most difficult part in creating each table were the curves that flowed into one another as though they were one continuous piece.
